Polarization Index
by Mandhur
Describe a public issue and the index analyses it with a sequential AI algorithm in three layers, measures how polarizing it is and how, and suggests a way to ease it. No sign-up; download your report as a file.
What it measures
A number from 0 to 1 that tells you how likely the debate around an issue is to turn into polarization or social division. Zero is a calm issue open to reasoned discussion; one is an extremely sensitive issue.
How it works
The index reads your issue in three layers, through five sequential AI stages you watch complete, in about a minute:
- Flammability (35%): does the issue touch identity, threaten existence, or make the stakes zero-sum?
- Heat of interaction (45%): how do people actually behave around it? Is there accusation, partisanship, escalation?
- Amplifiers (20%): what makes it bigger than it is? Media, populist simplification, organised mobilisation.
What it does not do
- It does not judge whether an opinion is right or wrong.
- It does not label people or their intentions.
- It does not decide what should be published or hidden.
No account
No sign-up is needed. Your text is stored to be analysed and shown to no one; you reach your result by its link and download your report as a file, in Arabic or English. Your result appears under “Published issues” only if you agree, and never with your original text.
Who is it for?
- Writers and content creators: test a text before publishing it.
- Researchers and students: check how a question is framed.
- Managers and decision-makers: weigh the language of a circular before sending it.
- Journalists and presenters: understand how sensitive a topic is beforehand.
